Our approach is holistic.
Our Story
Mahima Children's home is located in the City of Hubli in the State of Karnataka in the southern region of India. Mahima Children's home is run by a Christian ministry - Latter Glory Ministries. Founders Suri and Tammy Devaraj started Latter Glory Ministries in 2001 in India and subsequently moved to the Pittsburgh, PA, in 2002. In January 2004, Mahima Children's home was born. Burdened by the pain of abandoned children, Suri and Tammy started Mahima with 1 child. The home grew rapidly because of the great and prevalent need and currently houses 18 children.
Over the years we have had children from various walks of life, mostly desperate for love and caring - children from families who cannot afford to feed them and send them to school, children whose families have abandoned them, children who have been orphaned at birth or along the way in life. We have a no questions asked policy and we make every efforts to take in anyone who comes to our door. Our children mean the world to us and its in enriching their lives we find purpose for ours.
Our Home
